The
Rev. Renita Lamkin
is a native of Kansas City, KS. Rev. Lamkin
graduated magna cum laude from Saint Louis University in 2007 with a
Bachelor's degree in Organization Studies and a minor in Communications.
Rev. Renita united with the AME Church in 1994, was licensed to preach and admitted to the Northwest Missouri Annual Conference in 1996. Rev. Lamkin was ordained an Itinerant Deacon and appointed to her first pastoral charge in 2001. In2008 she was ordained an
Itinerant Elder. Rev. Renita was appointed with her husband to pastor St. John AME Church in St. Charles, MO in 2004 where they continue serving.
Rev. Renita serves the Missouri Annual Conference as
the Assistant Secretary of the Ministerial Alliance and the Assistant
Coordinator of the Women in Ministry. She also is serving as the President of the St. Charles (Missouri) Ministerial Alliance.
In her free time she enjoys paint by numbers, nature, bike riding, watching silly sit-coms, and reading mystery novels.
Rev. Renita has a passion for family, ministry, and fun! She enjoys the friendship and partnership of marriage and ministry she shares
with her husband, the Rev. Stephen Lamkin. They are the parents of four funny, creative, and analytical children Heather (David), Chrissi, Darren, and
Kathryne.
